Médicaments falsifiés : Le Directeur général de l’OMS réitère son soutien à l’Initiative de Lomé

22 août, à Lomé (Togo) – Le Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Directeur général de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS), a salué les efforts des dirigeants africains pour protéger la santé des populations lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture du 72e Comité régional de l’OMS pour l’Afrique.

Deux ans après son dernier voyage dans la capitale togolaise pour soutenir le lancement de l’Initiative de Lomé, l’engagement de l’OMS et de son Directeur général à soutenir les pays africains dans la lutte contre les médicaments falsifiés et de qualité inférieure reste intact.

 

Il figure parmi les personnalités de haut niveau qui participeront à l’événement parallèle organisé par le Ministère de la Santé togolais, le Bureau régional de l’OMS Afrique et la Fondation Brazzaville le mardi 23 août : « Lutter contre les médicaments qui tuent en Afrique : une approche collaborative et intégrée ».
