Le Niger ratifie la Convention MEDICRIME

La République du Niger renforce sa lutte contre les médicaments falsifiés en ratifiant la Convention MEDICRIME du Conseil de l’Europe, quelques semaines après l’avoir signée le 19 février dernier.

Cet instrument juridique, contraignant dans le domaine du droit pénal, criminalise la contrefaçon, la fabrication et la distribution de produits médicaux sur le marché sans autorisation ou en violation des normes de sécurité.

La Fondation Brazzaville accompagne les pays signataires de l’Initiative de Lomé dans la ratification des traités et conventions internationales (Agence africaine du médicament, MEDICRIME), prévue dans la déclaration politique signée en janvier 2020, et dans la mise en place de plans nationaux de lutte contre les faux médicaments nationaux dans le cadre du programme du travail 2022-2024 approuvé par les parties prenantes.
